TJ Crew Interest Form - 2025-26 Season
Joining Slack:
For the 2025-2026 TJ Crew Season, we are using Slack instead of Band for announcements and communications. Below are the instructions to join:
1. If you are a parent or rower who joined crew in the 2022-2023 season, then you most likely are already in the TJ Crew Boosters Slack Workspace. When you log back in, click on "Add Channels" and search for the channel (as indicated by #) 2026-crew-season. If you cannot find it, use this link to directly join the 2026 channel (make sure to access the channel through "TJ Crew Boosters" when prompted):
2. If you joined after the 2022-2023 season (so freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and senior novices), please first join the TJ Crew Boosters Workspace through this link with your personal email.
Both the athlete and their parents should join using this link
3. Next, click on "Add Channels" and search for the channel (as indicated by #) 2026-crew-season. If you cannot find it, use this link to directly join the 2026 channel (make sure to access the channel through "TJ Crew Boosters" when prompted):
Registration for Green Days
Green days will be from September 2nd until the end of October at the Occoquan River every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (except for during school holidays). Students go immediately after school in carpools that the captains arrange. Below are the instructions to sign up for Green Days:
1. TJ has updated its athletics registration portal and is using a new platform. Click on the following link to register at Arbiter.
2. Create an account with your (the athlete's) information. You should get an e-mail to verify your account.
3. Search for "TJHS" in the organizations (or click here), and scroll down to the bottom of the page to complete the registration for either "FCPS Physical Activities (NON VHSL) Crew (spring)" Boys or Girls. This does not bind you to participate in Crew during the official spring season, but it provides coaches with a point of reference for the number of people joining Green Days and may be interested in rowing in the spring season.
4. Submit a sports physical. Athletes must get the physical completed and signed by a physician, and then submit the papers to the TJ Student Activities Office by hand. The form has been updated from previous years, so please use this link to access the correct version.
5. New rowers must complete and sign this Liability Waiver and Swim Test Confirmation and e-mail it to crewcoach@tjcrew.org.
6. There is a $100 fee per athlete to participate in Green Days with the following payment methods:
Zelle (QR Code below): tjcrewtreasurer@gmail.com (this will be updated soon, but for now that e-mail address is still valid)
USPS/Physical Check: TJ Crew Mailbox, 6560 Braddock Rd, Alexandria, VA, 22312 (Payment: TJHS Crew)
Coming soon: The TJCrew Store will soon have a payment method.
7. Students only: Please join the Facebook Messenger chat for Green Days. Some updates about carpools, times, locations, etc. will be given in this chat.
8. Parents and student drivers: The carpools from the school to the river are organized by the Crew Captains. We currently do not have enough upperclassmen available to legally drive everyone to Green Days, so if you are a parent or student driver interested in helping out, it would be immensely helpful if you could consider driving some or all days by filling out this Google form.
