Winter Rowing

Winter Training

With the last day of Fall Rowing complete, we are getting ready for winter training! TJ Rowers are a part of many winter sports such as swimming and wrestling, and we encourage our athletes to explore diverse interests which still gets them ready for the Spring season. For rowers not involved in other sports, we offer Winter Training.

Winter Training will start on Thursday, November 17th until the Spring Season begins on February 20th.

Winter Training is offered 5 days per week, starting right after school until the late buses leave at 6:30 PM. The exact meeting location for Winter Training will be announced via our team Slack channel. So be sure to sign up for that to get all of the latest real time information.

Unlike our Spring Season, attendance at Winter Training is not mandatory. With that said, dedication and consistency at Winter Training will lead to faster erg times which has a major factor in the selection of a rower for a top boat. Fast boats are made during Winter Training.
